Evelyn Station

While Caltrain takes a fairly direct route and logical route down the San Francisco peninsula, VTA light rail offers a more Byzantine experience. The closest station to central Sunnyvale is in Mountain View. Sunnyvale has its own light rail station up on Tasman, which would be in a direct line between Mountain View and Milpitas; and light rail does go to Milpitas, but to get there from Mountain View requires a transfer in order to continue traveling in a straight line.
