Ice Sculpture

This year's company party did not feature actors paid to dance on tables, or contortionists; but there was good sushi, a synthetic indoor ice rink, and a few nice ice sculptures.

What was the ice rink made of? Some kind of plastic? Did you try it?

The ice rink was some sort of plastic. I did try it. The skates I was given had a pick at the front of the blade, which did not respond well on the synthetic surface (it was much stickier than it would be on ice). People who had smooth blades seemed to fare better.
